This Spanish online course aims to train health promoters in the field of occupational health and provide basic information necessary to recognize and prevent health problems at places where migrants work.
Six course modules cover topics including migrant workers' rights and obligations, agricultural work in the fields, respiratory diseases, and heat-related illnesses.
This course is offered in Spanish by the Autonomous University of Zacatecas (UAZ) and the University of California's Health Initiative of the Americas (HIA) in collaboration with the Zacatecan Binational Health Initiative (IBIZA).
This 3-month course requires a computer and internet access. Modules require an average of 5 hours per week to complete.
Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a diploma certificate from the UAZ and the University of California at Berkeley, Health Initiative of the Americas.
